Everyday it seems that we are hearing of fatal or catastrophic accidents between cars and cyclists on the news or Facebook every day. It is galling.
Often the defence from the motorist is “I did not see the cyclist’. This seems to avoid all liability whereas the cyclist is left with the problem.
Apart from importing strict liability offences into each jurisdiction, here is an invention that may save your life and limb as a flashing red tail light (always good for letting people know you are on the road – assuming they care) and as a camera to capture those moments before impact. At least you will have the evidence!

The question that this raises is how does the motorist know that you have a light and camera? If they have to see the camera then there have either already hit you or are so close that they will hit you.
