Oh dear, poor Vossi. Paul is not a fan of the extreme heat, so another 200 KM and an uphill finish in +35C and blazing sunshine was far from ideal. The only positive Vossi is taking from today is the post-race Haribo! When he joined BORA – ARGON 18 Vossi was hoping to get involved in some nice cooking – rather than getting cooked himself.
Riders began the day with ice packs under the jerseys to try and keep their core temperature as low as possible for as long as possible. Tonight we are calling on Vossi’s fans to make a Rain Dance – so there is cooler weather tomorrow, which again is far from flat despite being a transition stage.
